Not so much worried about the calories at the moment. A quick glance and a few years of focusing on the calorie numbers I guesstimate that there is about 1400-1600cals for the above. < Actual cals <.......2063.....>arghhhhhh But lets look at the sugar..... I'll get back to you shortly after I enter it all into myfitnesspal <insert teaspoon count here....19.....> aghhhhhh! Oh wow! I am shocked. Recommended daily intake for a woman......6 teaspoons. Crap!

Headache persists! and before you ask, Yes :) I have drunk my quota of 2ltrs of water and while I am not that great about water and hydration usually, I find the focus is there at the moment and I have a great new water bottle that is keeping me focused. So no, I don't think the headache is a result of dehydration.

I had planned on a day working from home today. But by 8am I was getting ready for work and going through the motions until I found myself sitting at my desk. A small win today with a verbal slap down of a pesky Union Representative left me on a high. By 4pm I was on my way home and had not given sugar or chocolate a second thought, even when I was standing at the counter in the cafĂ© next door and staring (and not craving) at the custard tarts, banana bread and other assorted cakes. All I saw was sugar and I was counting how many teaspoons of white stuff they would be worth. Granted the Dirty Chia was a sweet treat that I plan to cut out from today! But I picked up a coconut water and was determined to fall in love with the dirty water flavour. ok, I'm not hooked just quite yet.

Shopping tonight for when my girls come home for the weekend saw me checking food labels of all sorts of food products and a few favourites such as Mars Bars and Muesli bars....hmmmm 8 teaspoons. Yikes! Teaspoons = gms/4 It is a new and fascinating way to look at shopping. Even the belated Easter eggs for the girls, now sitting pretty and tempting on  their bed has lost their appeal. All I see now is teaspoons and teaspoons of sugar....30 to be exact! Wow.

I also downloaded Damon Gameau's blog today from when he was sugar loading. It's an interesting read and makes me look at our habits and life time routines in a different light. 60 days he ate 40teaspoons of sugar a day. I will be doing 60 days of taking sugar out of my system, not putting it in, let's face it, it's already in there. Now we have to get it out and keep it out for good.

Other reading today has been more triathlon focused as I have started to read and understand about how to use a Power Metre in my training. Coach gave me a lend of his book and it's full of math and formulas :( It just means I have to apply myself and concentrate, maybe I need some sugar so I can stay focused BRGHHH! Wrong! lol.

After some recalculations. Breakfasts needs to change to sourdough bread and poached egg with Greek yoghurt and berries. I need to drop a latte, no more dates (unless training maybe). That brought me back to cals....1674 and sugar 8 teaspoons. Wow, there is so much sugar in food that you just don't expect.
I would have considered my day pretty healthy. Apparently NOT!
